Are you looking for a challenging opportunity, and are keen to make a difference in your local community? School governors and trustees play an important role and are vital to the continued success of our schools. Working in collaboration with the Trust and its academy schools, governors and trustees:
- Assist with setting the school’s vision, ethos and strategic direction
- Monitor the academy school’s key performance indicators and act as a critical friend to the Headteacher
- Provide challenge where appropriate to achieve the best possible outcomes/ educational performance of the academy and its pupils
- As per the Trust’s LGB Terms of Reference review/monitor the financial performance of the academy school and make sure its money is well spent
- Play a part in representing the views of the academy school’s stakeholders
All our governors and trustees come from all walks of life and all backgrounds. This diversity is a crucial component of the success of the school as our governors and trustees bring a wide range of perspectives.
